Jason Alexander Field House Renovation
"If their dreams are the be fulfilled, if the good things they could have accomplished are to get done, these tasks fall to the rest of us in this world..." These were words of Henry Alexander, who with his wife Jean donated the Jason Alexander Memorial Field House at Marsh Field in 1999. Their son Jason, a Monroeville Football player, died as the result of a car accident in 1995 at the age of 17. Their generosity in tragedy gave the program and visiting teams a needed accommodation with the addition of locker rooms, showers, public restrooms, and a concession stand.

After 20 years in use, the facility had some tasks to be completed. The MFAA and volunteers worked to give a facelift to the home locker room, including painting the walls and ceiling, replacement of benches with chairs, installation of a new sound system and wall art, and a black and gold epoxy floor coating to tie it all together. The exterior saw the addition of curtain drains around the building, updated exterior lighting, and a concrete approach to the North side. Improvements continue to be made, with the most recent being the addition of a blacktop approach to the south side of the facility.

We are proud to carry out the Alexander family's call to action and are forever grateful for their generosity!
